WHY PROFESTART PROBIOTIC PASTE?

ProfeSTART Probiotic Paste is a micro-encapsulated, multi-strain probiotic, containing live (viable) naturally occurring microorganisms.

BENEFITS

  • Application – convenient and easy-to-use digestive aid.
  • Performance – improve health and recovery during times of disease, stress, ill-thrift and gastric upset.
  • Price – exceptional value compared to other commercial alternatives.

ADVANCED MICRO-ENCAPSULATED TECHNOLOGY

The probiotic selection process starts by identifying host-specific bacteria which are also antibiotic compatible and temperature tolerant. Based on field studies, bacterial strains are selected for known synergistic effects and then micro-encapsulated for maximum shelf-life, stability and viability.

Feed and environmental components including but not limited to: moisture, temperature, minerals, acidic conditions (pH), bile salts and antimicrobial agents, may reduce viability of beneficial bacteria (probiotics) during storage, mixing and especially in prepared feeds or in the gut.

Using advanced micro-encapsulation technology during manufacture, bacteria are protected by creating a physical barrier against a variety of ‘hostile’ physical and environmental agents until the bacteria reaches the intestine. At that time, enzymes break down the protective capsule and release the bacteria to replenish and colonise the intestine, which in turn gives the animal a competitive advantage.

PROBIOTIC

A unique blend of micro-encapsulated, live (viable) naturally occurring microorganisms. An ideal inhabitant of the digestive tract due to its ability to survive harsh conditions and to thrive once they reach the small intestine. Produces large quantities of digestive enzymes to aid digestion of feed when nutrients arrive in the small intestine.

PREBIOTIC

Derived from yeast cell walls, the functional oligosaccharide prebiotic MOS, binds to intestinal pathogenic bacteria and prevents their colonisation in, and attachment to, the gastrointestinal tract. Β-glucans have a role in supporting the immune function in pre-weaned animals.

YEAST

Live yeast stimulates activity of beneficial bacteria (probiotics) in the gut of pre-weaned animals, has a supportive role in immune function and aids digestion. Contains a specific strain of yeast that  has a role in preventing gastric upsets in young animals.
